چکیده
The aim of the review was to characterize epidemiological situation on rickettsiosis tick-borne spotted fever (TSF) group in constituent entities Russian Federation 2012–2021 and provide a long-term forecast for 2022–2026. In 2020–2021, indicators registered incidence Russia whole decreased relative average pre-pandemic level 2012–2019 by 2 fold all forms TSF (Siberian typhus – STT, Astrakhan Mediterranean fever). A comparative analysis territories revealed correlation between STT number medical facility visits due “tick bites” (r=0.67, p=0.015), which, against background an increase frequency contacts population with vectors 2020–2021 most regions decrease same indicates credible nature changes. ranking according rates made it possible classify Republic Altai Territory as extremely high epidemic hazard regards STT; Tuva; above Khakassia, Khabarovsk Jewish Autonomous Region. established downward trend among will be sustained within next 5 years, excluding Altai, Territory, Crimea city Sevastopol, where current or should expected. results indicate need put more emphasis natural-focal infections at time COVID-19 pandemic.

The presence of the nucleic acid of the spotted fever group (SPG) and typhus group (TG) rickettsiae was investigated in 200 serum specimens seropositive for SFG rickettsiae by multiplex-nested polymerase chain reaction with primers derived from the rickettsial outer membrane protein B gene. The DNA of SFG, TG, or both rickettsiae was amplified in the 24 serum specimens, and sequence analysis sh...
